I am enjoying a classic: Rainbow

I prefer Japanese pressings, they usually sound much better. They know how to master a CD.

Is that a re-mastered version of Rainbow? I restored mine with the BCD-1.

I love the song, Catch the Rainbow and Still I'm Sad, which IMO is a better version than in Stranger in Us All.

Thoose are japanese remasters on SHM-CD.
They are amazing, i've bought a lot of them recently.
I'm quite in love with Bill Evans so i have lots of his albums on SHM-CD...
Sounds great.
SHM-CD uses the LCD panels technology that JVC worked on (for new DILA panels), the layers between the writen layer are more transparent and details get amazingly out of it

Harmonics are stunning on SHM-CD for ex...

yup, they are absolutely fabulous! unfortunately i do not have a bcd-1, i make due with my marantz, but that isn't a bad player either. when my marantz dies (or i find a really sweet deal for a ~~second hand~~ pre owned one) chances are that one will appear here. providing it plays more than just 38 tracks that is.

Just picked up a used Bryston 4B to complement the Onix Reference 3s I bought a month or two back, which I had Skiing Ninja Master upgrade xover installed, platinum caps, and no-rez.

My 1st Bryston listening session.

Right now getting the amp and speakers acquainted with each other with Jaco Pastorius - "Word of Mouth".

Why can't this thread go w/ the regular what are you listening to now thread? W/ a gazillion forums, why can't threads be put in their proper place, or are these nominations proprietary? Won't they play on other than Bryston gear.
