Anyone with Junior 8 experience?
Thinking of moving up from my Klipsch RP5000f but I just recapped the xover and they are sounding really good.
Would this be a step up?
Amp is 2A3 set.
thanks

I recently purchased a pair of Junior 8 XRS' from Louis in Walnut with the wheat grilles. They look fantastic.

Sound-wise, they are still clearly breaking in as they can be a bit all over the place. Sometimes they sound congested and grainy and other times I get a taste of what I suspect they will sound like in their final form and it's sublime. Amazing imaging and a killer sound stage. I find that they are best with smaller ensemble music (jazz, quartets, acoustic, etc) but hold their own well enough with rock and noisier music too.

I should clarify that I also have one of Louis' KSubs which helps even out the bass response. They sound fine without it, but infinitely better with, for my tastes.

The break in period is real though. Keep that in mind.

Unfortunately, I doubt anyone here has direct first hand extensive experience with both these speakers.  Everyone responds differently to speakers and even if they did have both, what they preferred may not be what you prefer.  There are quite a few posts on this forum talking about the sound of the 8 inch driver.  What specifically are you looking to improve upon?

I got a Cambridge Minx 201.
Refurbed; I didn't know if I would need/like it and my room is very small. Not too shabby for $300.
