The specs show that this is a 2 way design however as you read on there is mention that there is a 12" woofer and 10" mid. The photos seem to indicate 2-12" woofers in parallel =4ohm load. I assume that this is indeed a 2 way and that the 10" midrange vernacular is a typo.

Is 85DB sensitivity correct here? Seems very low for the baseline woofer specs.

That sensitivity sounds likely. Remember, you've got to counteract huge baffle/dipole losses.  As to the dual 10s versus 12s, not sure.

Curious as to the tweeter. Hopefully something that might be able to be used in the M3 Saphire would be nice just in case.

The S6 has two 10-inch woofers, and yes, 85 dB is correct.

Following up on the S6 sensitivity rating... 85dB was measured anechoic (no gain from the room). "In-room" measurements are more applicable when evaluating one speaker to another. In a room with 1000-1600 ft³ the S6 measures 88dB. It is not a difficult speaker to drive. But, it is designed for smaller rooms. We recommend 2ft between the baffle and the side wall and 2.5ft between the baffle and the front wall as a minimum to get a good soundstage.
