Who is going to Axpona this year?

Audio by Van Alstine will be in room 456. You can be the first to hear our incredible new NP1 amplifier and CA1 control amplifier.

We may even have a bigger surprise waiting for you

The first 10 people that send an email to mary@avahifi.com with the subject line Axpona2024 Room 456 will receive a free day pass for the show!

Does wishing I could be there count? Need to keep working so I can buy the new CA1.

I've been sorely vexed for several months by the choice of attending Axpona, or not.  On the plus side, it's only an hour and a half away, and it would be so awesome to meet Frank and his pal from Philharmonic Audio.  On the minus side, at 69YO and easily tired-out and having my ideal system in place, there isn't much need to see more gear.  So far, my lazy self is winning out.  :-)

On another note, if anyone is passing through Milwaukee and wants to stop in for a few tracks and a nice cup of coffee or latte, my door is always open.

Any reports/pics from the show? A friend attended and visited the AVA room per my request. He said that whatever amp was playing sounded really good!

I felt the same way listening to my pair of M225's powering my RAAL ribboned Sierra-2EX V2's!!

Larry, Mithat and I returned from Axpona late yesterday afternoon. We all felt that we had a great show!

The electronics and speakers paired extremely well in our room. We believe the speakers were the perfect size for our room.

We ran the NP1 Amplifier with our DVA Digital Preamplifier. Ken, from Philharmonic Audio, was there with the BMR monitors and Paul from Anticables provided all of our power/cable needs.

Mary,
Did Mithat have a hand in the new amp architecture?
Very interesting,

My friend who visited the AVA room was going to post here with a room photo, but he said whenever he tries to post on this forum it doesn't work. I am therefore posting his photo here on his behalf.

Hi Tombo,

Yes, Mithat is the designer of the new amplifiers.

Mary,

We enjoyed visiting the AVA/Philharmonic/Anti-cables room on 2 different days.  The last day my wife was along and was secretly wishing somebody would play something by Paul Simon.  Lo and behold you did just as we were going to continue our favorite room visits!  Apparently great minds...and all that!

I visited this room when I had a few spare minutes, met Mary, and really enjoyed the system. This new amp architecture might eclipse my M225s although at a lower power, so far. If our YT Channel, The Listening Chair, gave out awards for best really affordable systems, I would nominate this room at the top of the list, great synergy and sound AVA, Philharmonic, and Anticables!

Best,
     Kemper

That’s some positive early feedback. Mary can Ava comment on whether high powered offerings are in the works? Possibly even mono blocks?

Just wanted to note that Stereophile commented on the AVA / Philharmonic room at:  https://www.stereophile.com/content/philharmonic-audio-and-audio-van-alstine

p.s., I am posting under a new name.  Couldn't remember my old password and my email provider went under so the recovery address didn't work.

What is your old login name? I can fix it manually.
