Hi James!

Are the new 'silver' and 'black' identical to the 'standard' colours you had on offer until recently?

Cheers - Antun

Hi James!

So these are new additional colour options which will be alongside the 'standard' silver and black you have now?

The Bryston Gun Metal Grey looks really nice.  I have a headamp brand headphone amp and its satin grey face really looks great in the cabinet.

Hi

I would have to ask service the complexity of changing some faceplates but it is something to think about.

Hi James!

Can you please give us a little bit more information on what kind of processing you're using to make these finishes, as opposed to the 'standard' ones? It's always one of those things where photos can't really show the 'understated beauty' that can surprise you when you see the component in real life for the first time.

One other thing, the article mentions that 'custom' finished are available to-order. Please don't think I'm being silly but I have always thought that a component with a light-blue metallic finish would look outstanding with some champagne-gold Japanese Denon pieces that I own. Is there yet a list of available custom finishes and I suppose, a pricelist as well?

Cheers - Antun

Hi Antun

We can not do a metallic finish.  I am going to put together a pallet of the different finishes so we can send them to dealers and distributors to look at.

Hi James!

I used the wrong word - I didn't mean 'metallic' as used on cars for example but rather 'brushed' as I think your 'standard' silver finish is likely brushed, at least lightly. It is really nice!

Making a palette for the dealers and distributors is a good idea. If I may make a suggestion here, perhaps it would also be a good idea to add a colour code in RAL industrial standard right next to the actual 'colour box' in the palette. This could then be available on your website so that customers who have a limited access to a dealer can view the colour online and if they're not sure whether they like it or not (due to variations in picture shown by the computer display - and this can vary dramatically since very few displays are colour-accurate!), they can always look for a palette online and just enter the RAL code to help them decide. It doesn't cost anything to do it and some customers will appreciate it.

Cheers - Antun

Hi James,
Where can I find info on the BAWD-1 wireless pre? I don’t see it on the website.
Thanks,
Bill

Just read dumanski's question and your reply. Maybe I'm simply misunderstanding the nature of the question but the announcement said the faceplates were available for amplifiers but didn't specify particular models so I assumed it meant all models however is there something special about the 7B3 where you aren't sure the new colors could be offered? Or by custom was dumanski asking for a specially designed faceplate and not about one of the special colors?

Ah ok, goctha now, thanks for the clarification.

Is the new colored faceplate initiative only available for current produces thus current faceplates or is this being offered on older models, for example amps and say the SST2 series, or older BDP models, etc.?

Is the faceplate user changeable on the 4B Cubed or does it need to be sent in for the change?

I think it is a bit complicated as the power switch and LED's etc. have to be dealt with.
