I have a soft spot in my heart for the dark dreamscapes painted by the early post-Syd era Floyd.http://www.dailymotion.com/video/x2chnd2_pink-floyd-cymbaline-extended-version-live-kqed-tv-1970-remastered_animalsAn Hour With Pink Floyd never saw an official release, and I think it was only broadcast twice by PBS, in 1973 and 1982.For many years I thought this performance happened on the afternoon of 4/29/70, before the evening show at the Fillmore West, but it seems now they filmed this show at the original Fillmore (owned by Bill Graham then) on the following day, 4/30/70. Supposedly a U-Matic TV station master surfaced recently as the best audio source, but I still have yet to hear it.
When I want a breath of fresh air, I like the videos of the National Chamber Orchestra of Armenia, especially those of their concert in Garni in 2004.Here's Strauss's Pizzicato Polka: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lBkICcxirBoI particularly like the Armenian music they played in this concert, though. Here are a couple of pieces.Komitas/Aslamazyan "My Red Handkerchief": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OLuPc8Q_dSsMirzoyan "Shushanik": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aPiWwCF1JjEKomitas "Cloudy Sky": https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eYM7fIFBNos
