Hello Everyone-

I've been watching the Klipsch upgrade video on youtube. I can't believe how cheap the parts are inside, yet so many reviewers love them. I have a pair of Totem Acoustic Rainmakers. They post a photo of their crossovers on the page. https://totemacoustic.com/product/rainmaker/ I'm hoping this means they use high quality components. I purchased them for $800 USD. I personally really enjoy the sound but I'm wondering if there are mods to make them better? I'm powering them with a vintage Rotel amp.

Thanks,
Dan

Welcome to AC!  :thumb:

If you ship them to Danny T GR Research, he will measure the drivers and design a better crossover from the ground up using high quality parts. The difference will be night and day. :D

Welcome to the AC! I live a couple of hours from GR Research, so I loaded up a pair of Tekton Lore speakers and drove them to Danny’s shop. The Lore was designed with low cost crossovers and internal wiring. The Lore was damped with a small section of fiber glass. Danny measured the drivers response and the cabinet resonance and then designed new crossovers. I bought these along with new high quality internal wiring, No -Rez damp material and his low mass “tube connector's which are cylindrical speaker binding posts.

The improvement of the Lore can be described as a night and day difference.
